“Cómo funcionan las cosas” “How things work”

                                                                                       

Dear Ositos Parents,

We hope everybody had a great week. We will learn about many things the Ositos use on a daily basis in their homes, as well as how those things operate. We are planning to construct a robot to display at the end of the week.

Song of the Week

The children in Ositos class will enjoy singing the song “Como funcionan las cosas”. Parents, please encourage your child to listen to this song at home too. It can be found on our Sff! CD.

Llego el cartero viene a traer

Una hermosa carta de mi tio Miguel

Las cartas llevan palabras

De amor y amistad, comunican muchas cosas

y te hacen sentir super especial.

ADIVINANZA:

En la cocina lo usan para mezclar

muchos alimentos y asi degustar

ricos jugos y cremas también

su ruido es muy fuerte rrrrrrrrrrrrrr

es hora de comer!

Week of 25th to 29th January 2016

“Somos Artistas” “We are Artists”

Dear Ositos Parents,

We hope everybody had a great week.  This is the time for the Ositos to prepare for our annual Art Fair. My goal for this week is to teach and instruct the Ositos the techniques for painting and to assist with their fine motor skills. We will also be learning the primary colors and mixing paint to create new colors. In addition, we’ll introduce the arts of music, dance, painting, etc.

“Los Medios de Comunicacion” “Means of Communication”

Dear Ositos Parents,

We hope everybody had a great week. We will continue teaching on topics of media communications ideas. The media we will discuss this week are computers, cellular phones and the internet. We are hoping to teach the importance of each and how to utilize properly.

“Los Medios de Comunicacion” “Means of Communication"

Dear Ositos Parents,

This week we will address the means of communication that are prevalent in our lives and we’ll be doing many activities to enable the Ositos to  interact with these types of communications. We will pretend to construct many items, including: a car, TV, and a radio, all with recycled materials.

Osito Willy is out of hibernation and ready to meet the new families during the new semester. He will visit a different family each week for one week.

This Friday will be the celebration of Martin Luther King Day and to teach the Ositos of equalities and inequalities in our culture.
