"Celebrando el Día de la Independencia/ Celebrating the Independence Day"

                          

 Dear Ositos Parents:

   I hope everyone had a great week.  The students had a great time last week, simulating camping. Our theme for this week is “Celebrando el dia de la Independencia”- “celebrating Independence Day”.  This week will have very fun, exciting, and at the same time educational and cultural.

                   

SPECIAL ACTIVITY:

This week we will have different activities,

Monday, we will prepare headbands or allusive hats and banners, to represent the patriotic symbols of the U.S.

Tuesday, we will have a picnic. We will make a shared snack in the park. Please bring something to share with others. (juice, cookies, fruits, gatorade, etc) 
Wednesday,We will have our first crazy hair day. Also, we will have a market fair for Independence Day. Parents please send with your child´s item to sell (pencils, stickers, crayons, etc.). we will pretend game fairs, fairground sell items, face painting and food purchased with fake money. I know  they will enjoy the event.
Thursday,  we will plan a parade on the occasion of Independence. Hear the anthem of USA.  In substitution of fireworks we will (simulate) with recycled material. Children should wear clothing that alludes to the holiday of Independence

Friday, The school will be closed.

REMEMBER:

"We are Going Camping / Nos vamos de Campamento"

   ^{I hope everyone had a great week. The campers had a good time and enjoying the planned activities. Our theme for this week is “Nos vamos de campamento”- “We are going camping”. We are planning to designate one classroom for our camp site. We are asking for parents, if able, to donate your tent for this week so that we simulate our camping experience. Please, bring as as soon possible.}

                   

                SPECIAL ACTIVITY:

This week we will have different activities,

Monday, we will look for insects, rocks, flowers, we will take pictures.

Tuesday, we will make a fire of sticks and slips. 

Wednesday, we will have a picnic. We will make a shared snack in the park. Please bring something to share with others.  And bring a sleeping bag for nap time.

Thursday, we will have a PAJAMA DAY, Please bring your favorite pijamas, pillow and your stuffed animal for naptime. We will have fun activities like pillow fight, stories and slumber competition.

Friday, DAY OF CAMP. We will do art and a fruit salad with marshmallows.

"Summer is here / El Verano Llegó"

Dear Ositos Parents:

I hope everyone had a great week. We starts this week our Summer camp! We are planning to have a lot of fun!!. So, please come and expect to have a great time. Our theme for this week is “El verano está aquí”- “Summer is here”.

SPECIAL ACTIVITY:

This week, we will have different activities:

Monday we will painting seashells and we will create sand castle building competitions.
Tuesday, Sunglasess day, the Ositos need to bring a pair of sunglasess.
Wednesday, Hat day, bring your best hat.
Thursday, we will make a big collage of all students of their summer adventures. Please, bring pictures, souvenirs and others interesting things from your summer.

 Friday, we will have a Hawaiian day. Please bring your child on Hawaiian clothes.

 Splash Days:

MONDAY	10:35am - 11:15 am
WEDNESDAY	3:00pm - 3:35pm
THURSDAY	10:35 am - 11:15 am

Items to bring:

- Bring a blanket if your child will take a nap (12:30 pm to 2:30pm)Every Friday you will need to take the blanket and bring it on Monday.

-  Bring extra clothes to have in your child cubbie.

- For Splash:

            -  Bring them wearing a swimsuit, bring a towel, water shoes into a tote bag, and sunblock on for those days.
REMEMBER TO DO NOT BRING AEROSOL SUNBLOCK, we cannot allow them.

 HAPPY SUMMER!

“Let's get Active”/ “Hay que ponernos Activos”. Second Week

Dear Ositos Parents:

I hope everyone had a great week.  We will celebrate the Graduation Ceremony this Saturday, and I am sure, it will be successful. The Ositos will be ver happy. Last week the Ositos had fun doing sports, games, competitions and exercises. This week we will continue enjoying the same theme “Let's get Active” “Hay que ponernos Activos”.  The summer is just around the corner!! We will have fun!

                   

SPECIAL ACTIVITY:

We will have this Friday at 10:30 am, our father's day celebration. We will have surprises,  food, sport competitions between parents and lots of fun. Please, come and enjoy with your Ositos child. I know we will have  a lot fun....you will not be disappointed!. Ositos and parents will come dressed in BLUE t-shirt, representing Ositos' classroom.

  1-This June 13th we will celebrate father's Day. Please confirm your attendance.

  2-The Students' evaluations were sent last week. If you want to have a conference with me about your child, please let  me know.

  3-This Friday, we finished the school year at 12:30pm. I want to say THANK YOU to all the Ositos parents for your help, understanding and affection that I have received during this year. Thank you Claudia Pittman for help me to decorate the doors during this year.

4- Monday June 16th Summer camp will start!
