🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Ositos Parents,

This week we will learn to be little travelers and we will celebrate the country where we live. The children will learn about interesting facts of the United States of America through play. We are scheduling exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as becoming little travelers that will visit exciting places in the US and learning to value and respect their country. Children will also build a plane that we will use to travel around the US and participate in a picnic and the Independence Parade.

📄 Materials for Special Projects

• Bring a snack according to the list that the teacher will provide.
• Wear proper attire for the Independence Parade.

🔆 Friendly Reminders

• Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a ziploc bag.
• Check your child’s cubby to remove dirty clothes and make sure to bring extra clothing suitable to weather.

Our summer camp is finally here! We are so excited that we are able to keep encouraging children learn new things and develop their creativity while having a fun and exciting time. We are scheduling exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as cooking, playing drama and music.

• Bring sunglasses for your child on Tuesday, June 21st. Please make sure to label the sunglasses with your child’s name.
• Have your child wear a swimsuit and a summer accessory on Thursday, June 23th.

This week the children will be reviewing the vocabulary in Spanish they have learnt in the last year. We have also scheduled a few exciting learning activities and we will practice how to provide personal information in Spanish. We will also do art projects like drawing and painting to strengthen fine motor skills.

This week the children will be reviewing about things we have learnt during the school year. We have also scheduled a few exciting learning activities such as working with images description to increase their vocabulary in Spanish, counting in tens up to 100 and exercising in the gym in order to stimulate motor skills.
