Week of February 29th to March 4th

                                        “Mi Pais” “My Country”                                                            

Dear Ositos Parents,

We hope everybody had a great week and enjoyed our Science Fair.  During this week we will explain the importance of knowing their country and values. Also this week, we will learn about the customs, natural resources, monuments and historic political figures.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:

This week our Osito Willy will pack his bags and move in with Mia’s family. We are pretty sure that he will have a blast!

Our special activity will be “The Representatives and US authorities"

Please have the Ositos come dressed as a representative or authority of this country and I will give them a phrase for their character. They should memorize it at home and we'll act in the gym to show our representatives to other children at the center.

Please help us make your child feels like a real Representative.

“Ciencia en mi Vida Diaria” “Science in my Daily Life”

Dear Ositos Parents,

We hope everybody had a great week. We will be learning about other applications of science and how it works in their daily lives. Also they will learn about recycling materials and how they are reused for various objects, including: toys, clothes, crafts, and more.

Song of the Week

The children in Ositos class enjoyed singing the song “Como funcionan las cosas”. Parents, please encourage your child to listen to this song at home too. It can be found on our Sff! CD.

This Friday we will come dressed in green and we call them "the saviors of the planet” Parents, please help us make the Ositos feel like real scientists. We will need cardboard boxes this week in preparation for this event. Please come to school dressed in green. Your cooperation is always greatly appreciated!

“Cómo funcionan las cosas” “How things work”

Dear Ositos Parents,

We hope everybody had a great week. The Ositos will be “little scientists” this week. Through songs and experiential experiments, we will highlight the important role that science plays in our understanding of many facts of everyday life.

“Cómo funcionan las cosas” “How things work”

                                                                                         

Dear Ositos Parents,

We hope everybody had a great week. We will have an exciting time as we provide many activities for the Ositos to encourage relationships with their classmates. Also we will continue to investigate how musical instruments work and to use recycled materials to construct our own instruments.

Last week Osito Willy enjoyed his first week with Jack’s family. This week he will pack his bags and move in with Harper’s family. We hope he enjoys his stay there.

This week our special activity will be for Valentine’s Day. We will would like everyone to provide small gifts for each student to share with their friends. Please come to school dressed in red this Friday.
