“Las Plantas ” “The Plants”.

                                                                                         

Ositos Parents:

This week we will be teaching about the parts of the plant and how they grow and develop. We will also teach them how plants are taken care of while understanding the necessity of plants in our environment.  

Song of the week:

Un dia en el parque jugando estaba

Con mis amigos de Sff!,

Mire hacia el suelo, vi algo pequeno

La semillita yo vi pasar

Yo la tomé con mucho cuidado

Y en una taza con amor yo la sembré,

Con tierra y agua creció mi plantita

Y muchas flores yo vi nacer.

Cuida tu alrededor,

A las plantitas respeta,

Por un mundo mejor cuida la naturaleza

POESIA:

Mi plantita es muy bonita

Yo la tengo que regar

Cada dia crece un poco

Por la luz que el sol le da

ADIVINANZA:

Verde soy, huelo muy bien

Crezco con flores, plantas

Y arboles tambien.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:

1--We are preparing for the “Latin Party”, the ositos are testing their typical merengue for the big party and the costumes were rented for a small cost of $5.00 for girls.

2-- This week we will teach about edible plants. This Thursday we would like for parents to bring edible plants (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, lettuce, celery, spinach, asparagus, etc.) for the ositos to experiment with our edible plant salad.

FRIENDLY REMINDER:

Please help your osito with letters and vocabulary words at home to reinforce their Spanish speaking skills.
