Weekly Featured Theme: Saving our planet/Valentine’s Day Project

Week: February 13^th to February 17^th, 2017

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Ositos Parents,

We will continue with our theme called “Green Earth”. We will discuss about the pollution in our planet and how we can help to take care of our planet.

Children will learn about the actions that can help keep our planet clean and without pollution. We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills as well as to teach them important things they can do to reduce pollution and take care of our environment. For Valentine’s Day we will have a special celebration.

Our travelling Pet “Willy” will be visiting the home of Henry Hofpar this week. Family Hofpar, Willy likes to wake up in the middle of the night and look for honey!

📄 Materials for Special Projects

●      Have your child wear a red t-shirt on Valentine’s Day.

●      Bring a small present or a Valentine’s Day card so your child can share with his/her classmates. We have 15 children in our classroom, 6 girls and 9 boys.

🔆 Friendly Reminders

●      Help your Osito practice the vocabulary they have learnt at home.

●      Check your child’s cubby every Friday and take home your child’s blanket for laundry. Make sure to bring it back on Monday.

●      Make sure to bring extra sets of clothing appropriate to weather.

●      Read your child’s journal, blogs and Friday Newsletter. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us in case you have any comment or any question about your child’s development or any notes/comments made in your child’s journal.
