My Classroom and Friends

Classroom: OsitosBlog Title: My school and MeWeekly Feature Theme: My Classroom and FriendsWeek: Week: August 21th, 2017 to August 25th, 2017 What we are learning?Dear Parents, We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week we will continue with our theme is “My School and I”. This week will be another one of adaptation and adjustment to a new routine. Children will continue exploring the areas of school. We will talk about the director and associate director roles. They will also be introduced to the teachers of the other classrooms and Ms. Jenny, our cook, will be making us a visit to discuss about healthy food. We have scheduled exciting activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through fun experiences. Children will review our classroom rules and continue getting know their classmates. One of the activities they will love to participate is our school craft. We are going to design and build our school using recycled material. We will also be reviewing geometric shapes and numbers.
Thank you for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life and we hope you have a great weekend.  Holidays & Upcoming Events ·         Labor Day on Monday, September 4th, 2017. School will be closed.

·         Remember your child to wash his/her hands when entering the classroom and before leaving the school. This is the best way to prevent illnesses.
·         Make sure to bring your child on time so he/she can participate in circle time. This activity starts at 8:45am and will stimulate and strengthen skills in all areas.
·         Read your child’s journal, blogs and Friday Newsletter. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us in case you have any comment or any question about your child’s development or any notes/comments made in your child’s journal.
·         Avoid bringing your child with items that can cause distraction such as toys, necklaces, bracelets, watches, etc. This is needed to help him/her concentrate in the scheduled activities at school.
·         Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.
·         Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.
·         Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.
·         Make sure to have enough pull-ups or diapers in the cubby for the day, if your child has not been potty-trained yet.
·         If your child is bringing a lunch box, please label it with your child’s name and date and place it in the kitchen. If the lunch box requires to be refrigerated, please put it inside the refrigerator.
·         Take home the homework blue folder in your child’s cubby and take one or 2 paper sheets from the container that are next to the entrance of the classroom. Homework should be returned by Tuesday and do not forget to bring the homework folder back on Monday.

        Song of the Week

CANCION DE LOS VALORES, BUENOS MODALES

Esta canción especial
Lindas palabras te enseñara
Por siempre tú las repetirás
Aquí en Sff!
Buenos días, muchas gracias
Mucho gusto, por favor
Estas son palabras mágicas
Que por siempre te harán mejor
Buenos días, muchas gracias
Se amable y de buen corazón
Saludando a tu vecino y ayudando con mucho amor

        Poems

Llego la hora de despertar
Para ir  a mi colegio
“Sff!”

Allí tengo amigos
Y puedo jugar
Aprendo canciones
Y mil cosas más.

A veces soy grueso
A veces delgado
De muchos colores pinto
Cuando me coges con la mano.
Las crayolas

        Riddles

Traz traz corto papeles
Traz traz corto cartón
Traz traz
Creo muchas cosas
Con tu imaginación
La tijera

 Tongue Twisters

Teresa trajo tizas hechas trizas
Hechas trizas trajo Teresa Tizas
